This week I sketched at a farm for my newspaper column. The story and sketches are posted on my
Seattle Times blog.
Looking at my iPhone photo now, I realize that I should really clean my watercolors pans more often, but, I have to say, those dry stains sometimes save you the time of mixing new colors.
Can I ask an odd artist question of you? Do you sketch with you right hand or left hand? (if you're right hand dominant)
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda, thanks for stopping by. I sketch with my right hand. Occasionally, I try to do it with my left hand and the results are quite interesting. To draw with your non-dominant hand is an exercise that many art instructors recommend. Have you tried it?
ReplyDeleteThanks for responding! I try to sketch with my left hand as often as I can. I think it's interesting that even if the lines aren't as strait, the image is more correct.
ReplyDeleteGabi, Im curious, why 2 paintboxes? did you just add more colors to your palette and end up with 2 boxes or do you separate you warm and cool colors??
ReplyDeleteI like the tractor. Your sketch style is fun!
