Sketchers take the pulse of city life

Diario Sur

Last Tuesday, Málaga's daily newspaper Diario Sur published a full page article about the local community of Urban Sketchers in this beautiful Mediterranean city in Southern Spain. (Urban Sketchers is a global community of drawing enthusiasts sparked by a flickr group and group blog that I launched a couple of years ago.)

The article features Spanish architect Luis Ruiz, head of the Málaga Urban Sketchers and a correspondent for the group blog since October of 2009.

Being in rainy Seattle, I always look forward to Luis' posts from this sunny city in the heart of the Costa del Sol. I enjoy his masterful perspectives and panoramas and also his well-written and informative stories that "take the pulse of Málaga."
