"We got you a sketcher book"

alexolivisketches062109

That's what my daughter told me secretly to my ear Saturday night, just before Father's Day. She meant a "sketchbook" of course. I had sketched her playing with a game in the car earlier. On Sunday we had a nice dinner at a pizza restaurant we usually go to and I also sketched my son on the facing page. I wanted to have a spread with both of them to remember the occasion.

How adorable, Gabi! I just love how well you've captured the weight of your daughter's bending body in her car seat. They are lucky to have you as a father!

Hi, Gabi - my first visit here. I love the spontanaeity and looseness of your work.

Cherish those moments with your children. My father and I would go "arting" on his days off (he would get me out of my mom's hair). I was about three or so. I would take my crayons and Daddy would have his sketchbook and pencils. Some of my best memories ever.

Thanks so much for sharing that little slice of life!

Erin
