Seattle Sketcher in print and on the web
As you know, in late April my Seattle Sketcher alter ego moved to the Seattle Times website. If you live in Seattle, you can also see an excerpt from the blog every Saturday on the cover of the Local section. This is what it looks like:
My latest story was about the easy to overlook historic clocks scattered around the city. It made it to the website's homepage for a brief time in the morning, enough for me to get this screenshot:
So, in print or on the web, you know where to find the Seattle Sketcher. Thanks for stopping by, for your comments and for the sketching suggestions!

It sure seems like a good idea for newspapers to focus more on local happenings in order to keep and attract new readers. Your sketches are a perfect way to do that and I'd love to see our local paper give us a view of the city through someone who has talent like you.
Por razones (que creo no se me escapan) me gusta más la edición digitalo que la de papel, aunque cualquiera de ellas refleja tu calidad. Saúdos e apertas
I enjoy real artwork in my daily paper, and there never is much, so good on ya Gabi! We have what they advertise as a steam clock in our Gastown - Vancouver - area, but I wonder if it is really steam operated, it does shoot out some steam at regular intervals though.
Beautiful artwork¡
enhorabueno!
that's great to sea your blog on paper, I wish I could read the seattle times every saturday.
I enjoy very much with your pictures on the web but I think it´s wonderful in print, it´s a fresh reading. You give a journalistic vision and also "historic". You are a chronicler draftsman and the newspaper prosper.
Enhorabuena, Gabi y un fuerte abrazo
Hey, your work looks awesome in the paper...of course. I really enjoyed your Seattle Sketcher site so it's good to continue to watch your work continue!
I really love your drawings and your way of capturing society. I have recently tried drawing people when I'm out but have found it very difficult as they selfishly move about a lot lol. Do you have any advise for me?
Great work Gabi. Here and on Usk.
Gabi - Just got back in town and found your blog posts and sketches. I love them! Thanks for providing links to the clock walk. Now I need to find a copy of last Saturday's paper!
Its amazing to see the sketch book..
