The viaduct

viaduct030209m

I had some time before going to work last Tuesday and spent it doing this sketch of the viaduct. I literally risked my life by being so close to the aging elevated freeway. It stood a recent 4.6 earthquake that rattled the Seattle and Puget Sound area. But the 56-old-structure has its days counted. I can't wait until they tear it down. In the meantime, though, I hope to draw it many more times, but perhaps from further away.

Spectacular composition! That seagull is great, but he looks a little lonely.

  2. Wonderful perspective, Gabi, and the reflections in the puddles a great touch.
