Urban sketching kit

My urban sketching kit

These are the tools I'm currently using:

• Micron pens: 1, 08 and 01
• Niji waterbrush
• Windsor & Newton small box with gouache paints
• A clip with a folded paper towel
• Moleskine sketchbook (the one on the picture is the regular size one, i also use the smaller "pocket size" sketchbook)

I'm taking a break for the next couple of weeks. Back to posting the week of April 13. In the meantime I leave you with a photo of my urban sketching kit. And don't forget to check the Urban Sketchers blog and Flickr pool! Plenty of amazing sketches there!

  2. Great post. Just got a Niji waterbrush (and a Pentel) and have three or four different travel watercolors. Are gouache paints more opaque? And I love the paper towel on a clip.

  12. Moleskine sketch book paper does work well with a light wash. I really like how it shows the colors.

  19. Very fun travel sketches! I've never used a 08-micropen. And your binder clip/paper towel is way better than the mini sponge that comes with my watercolor kit.
