So long P-I, hello seattlepi.com

lastpi031709h

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer printed its last edition today after 146 years as a witness of this city's history. A sad day for journalism and newspapers. It's legacy will continue at seattlepi.com. The problem is that only 20 of a staff of 170 will remain to produce the website. It won't be the same. It's a great loss for our community.

On their commemorative edition cover, a night photo of their globe sign with the neon lights on. You can see the photo and read more P-I memories here.

  2. My dad worked there before he moved to the Times and then eventually left the newspaper business all together.

    Sad indeed.

  3. All of your posts on the Seattle newspaper were very good and the artwork excellent as usual. Losing newspapers in America is very sad since a newspaper in our home has always been a natural part of my life.
