Driver types

Seattle Transit Blog ran a couple of my bus sketches a few days ago —the ones from the day I wrote about commuter types— and sparked an interesting conversation about commuter types I hadn't even thought of: the "let me talk to strangers guy" or the “quietly staring out the window and pretending you don’t exist while listening to music girl". My commuter type is clear, the guy with the sketchbook. When it comes to driving, it's not much different. I'm the guy who wishes the red light took longer so I could take more notes like these ones.

  1. And I thought I was the only one that WANTS red light to last longer! I've been a secret stoplight sketcher.

  2. I keep my sketchbook in the drawer under my seat for all those times when I get stuck in traffic jams!

  3. I'm a “quietly staring out the window and pretending you don’t exist while listening to music girl". But after seeing your great sketches here, I may have to be a sketchbooking commuter myself! Great art Gabi!

  4. I see I'm not the only one who thinks of Gabi when I see a bus ;D. I'm a sneaky sketcher type, too.
