Dude with moleskine

dudewithmoley120408m

I sat in front of this guy on the bus. A few minutes later, he reached into his bag and pulled out his own moleskine. What a coincidence —it was the first time I actually saw somebody using the exact same type of notebook I use. I thought, what if he starts drawing me? That'd be cool —we could have a little portrait party here on the bus. But he started doodling what looked like a building shape. Not for long though. His eyes started to close. I pulled out my moley then and did my line drawing. As an urban sketcher, I told myself: Mission accomplished.

  2. Wow...that's too funny...would have been great.

Perhaps, you all should get "Urban Sketchers" business card to give to people you sketch...or to people who are asleep when you sketch them.

    Imagine their surprise!

  6. Gabi,

How funny! I bet you wish that you could have snapped a picture of this rare and hilarious moment. You know, I sometimes run into people with sketchbooks and I always wonder the same thing you did. It comes with the territory, right? Great story and great work as always Gabi. Saludos!
