Office gossip, what a universal issue. The subheadline describes it as toxic and that automatically made me think of clouds of smoky gossip looming over the cubicle jungle. You can read the story here.

El cotilleo en la oficina, un tema universal. El subtitular lo describe como tóxico y eso me hizo pensar automáticamente en nubes de humeante cotilleo flotando por encima de la jungla de cubículos. Puedes leer el artículo aquí.

  1. It's good to see this article and the more it's brought out into the open the better, in fact, gossip thrives in environments where communication is poor. I've been a victim of it (can you tell?) and you can see it written on people's faces when they have been 'contaminated'. The real solution lies with every one of us to open our eyes, use our brains and not let others influence our opinions and judgement when we have no evidence ourselves to support it. It's amazing how gullible people are, how easily they believe one-sided stories, and how they can knowingly watch others suffering.

  2. i'm glad you found the article useful Felicity and sorry you've had a bad experience with office gossip. it's an important topic and i'm afraid my illustration might have been too light for the seriousness of the issue. i still hope it gets more people to read it!

  3. Long time ago, thankfully, Gabi! No, I didn't think your illustration (which is great btw, great idea!) was too light. Spreading gossip can be trivial (seemingly) too and maybe seem like fun or be harmless so the illustration and the text cover it well I would say. It's good to see it written about, I think it happens in a LOT of offices and can have really serious consequences for some. I don't know how people can stand the risk and the shame of being exposed as a malicious gossip though.
