Running out of ink

The Faber-Castell Pitt artist pen I've been using for these 15 minutes sketches has started to dry out after eleven drawings on a Canson 5.5 by 8x5 inches sketchbook. I'm not convinced that I will stick with these type of pens... too expensive! I did the drawing at Boren Avenue across from the Olive Tower. On the other side of I-5 you can see the El Capitán Apartments. Funny name for an apartment building if you ask me.

Los rotuladores Faber-Castell que he estado utilizando para este tipo de dibujos de un cuarto de hora ya empiezan a quedarse sin tinta después de once dibujos en un bloc Canson de 13.9 x 21.5 cm. No sé si voy a seguir con este tipo de rotulador... sale demasiado caro! Hice el dibujo en la Avenida Boren al lado de la Olive Tower. Al otro lado de la autopista I-5 se ven los apartamentos El Capitán. Un nombre curioso para un edificio de apartamentos, a mi parecer.

  1. I agree, the Pitt brush pens run out far too fast for people of modest means. The sketches look great, though.

  2. thanks nick, i'm thinking of making my own cheap Pitt brush pen somehow, i'll let you know if something works out. in the meantime i've also been dipping them in india ink once they're dry and use them that way for doodling
