The first Starbucks logo

I was doing more research on Starbucks for my post at the Spanish website soitu.es and realized there was an interesting story to tell about the company's trademark. So I went back to the first store at Pike Place to draw a closeup of the logo and indulge myself to another tall latte. Its original design, which shows a topless two-tailed mermaid, has been revised a couple of times over the years. The current logo was introduced in 1992 with the siren cropped in a way that makes the two tails hard to identify. Estaba buscando más información sobre Starbucks para mi artículo en la web española soitu.es y descubrí que el logotipo de la empresa tiene una historia interesante. Así que volví al primer Starbucks en Pike Place para dibujar el logo de cerca y de paso tomarme otro caffè latte. El dibujo original, que muestra una sirena de dos colas con los pechos descubiertos, ha sido revisado en un par de ocasiones. El actual fue introducido en 1992 con la imagen de la sirena recortada de tal forma que es difícil identificar las dos colas.
