At the Spotted Cow

Yesterday morning I spent some time with Alex at the Spotted Cow, a locally owned coffee shop in the Mill Creek Town Center. I didn't have to go to the paper until later in the afternoon, and he didn't have to go to his preschool that early either. It was raining outside —how unusual, right?— and people were coming and going to the gym next door. We went to the kids area and I did an urban sketch while he played.

  1. I love that selective coloring. Makes the rainy day seem even more dreary.

  2. Gabi, I have enjoyed your urban sketches for a while now. They are just fabulous! You have inspired me to give this kind of drawing a try.

  3. thanks nick, the selective coloring is also a product of running out of time, but then I thought it was just fine like that.
