Another sketchbook sees the light of day

This is my first sketch on a new watercolor moleskine that I bought a couple of weeks ago. We finally had a sunny day around here and I sat by the driveway and sketched out the view of the street up against a nice blue sky. I even colored it right there since I had enough time and my brush and paints were handy. ( 11 x 3.5 inches / 27.9 x 8.9 cm. Pigma Micron 0.8 pen, gouache.) You'll have to click on the image to see it at a decent size.

  2. make the roofs red tile and it's my neighborhood! I like the moleskine watecolor sketchbooks and have some on order. I prefer my handmade ones but like the portability of the moleskine. I've never tried gouache, might have to put that on my list for this year!

  3. Gabi--

Wonderful sketch. Minimal use of color is smart. I use Micron pens also. Love them.
