Here's the illustration I did for last Sunday's opinion page article about the future of journalism. I dropped the crystal ball concept because it seemed too obvious. The old typewriter and computer screen with web, chat and blogging windows seemed more convincing to me and representative of the past and future of media. John Hamer, the author of the column, e-mailed me to thank me for the art and said he really liked it. That made my day.

Esta es la ilustración que hice para éste artículo del pasado domingo sobre el futuro del periodismo. La idea de la bola de cristal la aparqué porque me pareció demasiado obvia. La combinación de la máquina de escribir y la pantalla de ordenador con ventanas de blogs, chat, etc... me pareció más convincente para representar el pasado y el futuro de los medios de comunicación. John Hamer, el autor del artículo, me envió un correo electrónico para darme las gracias por la ilustración y me dijo que le gustó mucho. Eso me dejó la mar de contento.

  7. thanks for all the positive comments! this was a fun assignment and it brought memories of learning how to type with our Olivetti typewriter when I was 9 years old. i'd get my fingers stuck between the keys so many times!
